Street
Sweeping:

Fort Collins Street
Division wanted a way to track the operating cost of their
fleet of Snowplows and Street Sweepers efficiently as well
as maximizing their limited assets. Tracking cost manually
was requiring too much manpower as well as big delays in results.
Using CompassLDE to interface with the GPS based wireless
hardware, Fort Collins is now feeding the hours, mileage and
status material of their sweepers into an oracle database
to store real time data by the activity by day, month and
year. |

data is sent to an Excel spreadsheet where cost is applied
to each line item. Though CompassCom, they determine their
running costs as they incur for sweeping operations each day
as well as monitor performance in real time. |

Solid Waste:
Atlantic County Utility Association
(ACUA)
ACUA uses CompassLDE and CompassTrac
to view the location and status for their fleet of solid
waste vehicles. Discrete monitors show the loading/unloading
status or each truck and CompassCom’s reporting module
provides fleet efficiency information to supervisors improving
fleet efficiency.
